FORGIVENESS ~
When I accepted Christ as Lord and Savior, God forgave me once and for all – for all my sins, past, present, and future. Christ achieved this on the cross! My only part was exercising my faith by receiving Him and what He has done for me. This was a free gift (Romans 6:23).
But in human relationships forgiveness is needed every day. There are always new things to forgive and new things to be forgiven for: “forgive me my sins as I forgive those who sin against me”. In asking him for my daily bread, I need also to thank him daily for forgiving my sins, as well as confessing and turning from them. I also need to forgive others each day!
