Although Ayn Rand was an atheist, who was persecuted by the USSR, her view of the overreach of Government was correct.
1. God never appointed the state to be the Owners of property or to be the stewards of Property, nor to redistribute wealth!
2. God appointed “the people” to be the “stewards” of property, as ownership of all property belongs to God alone. (Gen 1:28-30; Daniel 4:17; Ps.24).
See what Peter said to Ananias and Sapphira about their property “While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, was it not at your disposal?”(Acts 5:4). Here we see the stewardship of Private Property by individuals affirmed in the New Testament!

SO WHAT IS THE ROLE OF GOVERNMENT?
1. The only rights that the state has regarding property are those delegated by “the People” to the state. The idea of the state being owners or stewards of property is the very heart of Marxist thought, whether it be called liberalism, socialism, or communism!
2. God ordained government to protect and preserve man for the protection of life and property, for the repression of evil and crime, and for the rewarding of virtue and good. That’s the God-ordained design. (Romans 13:3-4).
3. THE EXTREME RIGHT-WING VIEW OF PROPERTY IS EQUALLY WRONG.Adam Smith’s extreme Capitalist view that individuals are not stewards for God of Private Property, but the absolute owners of private property is also at odds with the Bible! This was the problem with Roman Law and also is the rationale for slavery.
