REVIVAL BROKE OUT WHEN THIS TALK WAS GIVEN
Pauline and I were present when this talk was given in 1995 at the Cru Staff Conference in Ft. Collins Colorado, attended by about 6,000 people. What happened during and after this talk was such an unusual outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Almost everyone at the conference broke into tears and people began to go to the microphone and publicly apologize to those whom they may have hurt or offended, some publicly confessing their sins.
Then everyone in the audience began to walk around the arena seeking out people they knew or worked with apologizing to one another and seeking forgiveness from one another. The agenda of the conference had to be be paused as this continued through the night.
This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience which I had never experienced before, and I have never experienced since. However, it was identical to the things which happened in the revivals which are well documented by history, including the Great Awakening. The result of this experience continued to positively affect the lives of all those present for many years following, as well as the ministry of Cru, which at that time was called Campus Crusade for Christ.
